When your display first turns on, it displays a number (1088
for example). This is the frame capacity (1088 frames).
A frame can contain either bitmap images, AVI files, or text.
What is a display ID?
The display ID is a number assigned to the CPU inside your display.
Most of the time, the display ID will be 1 unless your displays are wired parallel, in that
situation it would be nesassary to give each display a different ID (1 & 2 for example). This
is common in double sided displays. The current ID is displayed following the Firmware type
during power-up.
What is a Baud Rate? And what is my display's Baud Rate?
A Baud Rate is the unit in which the information carrying capacity
or "signalling rate" of a communication channel is measured. One baud is one symbol
(state-transition or level-transition) per second. 99% of all Hi*Tech displays use
19200 Baud Rate the only other option as far as Hi*Tech is concerned is 57600, and again, this
is rare.
