In-Car Displays

Hi*Tech manufactures two standard LED displays
that are rugged, reliable, and cost effective for your in-car display use. The displays
can be custom mounted in a variety of locations inside a rail car or bus. Although these
two displays are our standard, we can custom build nearly any type of LED display for use
inside your bus or train.
International characters, bold-faced and
double-high fonts, graphics, flashing, scrolling and sequencing of the messages are all
standard features of these displays. Programming and controlling the signs can be made via
an RS232 or networked through an RS485/422 interface. An optional thumbwheel controller
can also be used for conductor/driver controlled changing of the sign. Up to 99 messages
can be stored in each sign when using the thumbwheel controller.
The IC16-120 display is similar to the
IC24-120 but is made up of a matrix of 16 pixels high by 120 pixels wide.
This display will yield two lines of 20 characters per line,
1 ¼" (32 mm) high character or one line of 3" (75 mm) high characters. This
display is best suited for text messages, with graphics capability.
The IC24-120 is a 24 pixels high by 120
pixels wide display, displaying up to 20 characters per line of three lines of 1 ¼"
(32 mm) high characters, or two lines of 2" (51 mm) high characters, or one line of
4.5"(113 mm) high characters. This display is also ideally suited for graphics use or
for displaying messages in Kanji, Chinese, or any other language requiring intricate
fonts. This display uses a fine pitch, .1875" (or 4.76 mm) LED center to center pixel
spacing.
