Designing and manufacturing these displays requires knowledge in a number of areas including software, firmware, electrical and mechanical engineering as well as manufacturing. Electrical Engineering position will be responsible for the electrical / electronic and overall system design of new and custom LED displays. Including design LED Display systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Provide applications assistance, wiring design and information. Assist in development and implementation of more advanced signs. Design and assist others in design of improved communications including serial, RF, USB, Ethernet and others. Plan layout of AC and DC electric power distribution in displays.  Orcad and AutoCad or Cadence Concept and PCB Designer knowledge is a plus. Working knowledge of LEDs and optics is plus. Working knowledge of digital communications including RF, serial, Ethernet, USB, etc. a plus. Knowledge of video principals, MPEG encoding etc a plus. BSEE w/6+ yrs exp. Working knowledge of Computer Aided Design software (for system and PCB design)

 

Sr Mechanical Engineer
Create new and modify existing mechanical drawings and documentation. Generate Rev block information. Create new mechanical drawings and documentation. Check part dimensions, use ANSI Standard Y14x drawing practices, and incorporate appropriate manufacturing tolerances in the drawings. Generate production drawing red lines. Create and/ or modify BOMs as needed for work orders. Prepare design reviews. Work with Documentation Control to file corrected drawings and documentation. Computer literate in Mechanical and Electrical drawing programs such as Auto Cad, Windows and MS Office. Design process improvements and new products. Suggest cost-saving fabrication and production methods. Evaluate customer work orders and generate drawings necessary for fabrication and assembly verifying that the complete package is released. Write purchase requisitions. Engineer must be available for installation assistance i.e. some travel required.

 

Field Service Technician
Performs several different stages of Service repair and upgrade of products. Support installations and training of product use. Up to 75% travel domestic and possibly International.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

-Installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic displays
-Provide field service as needed or assigned
-Provide Technical Phone Support when not on a service trip
-Work effectively as a team member assisting when and where needed
-Represent Hi*Tech Electronic Displays in a confident and professional manner
-Become knowledgeable about display features, functions, operation, etc.
-Become knowledgeable about and follow company procedures specifically in regards to customer satisfaction
- Perform other duties as assigned

Skills
-Must be able to work with little supervision
-Valid drivers license and good driving record
-Good communication skills both verbal and written
-Ability to understand, troubleshoot and repair displays
-Mechanical skill
-Must be able to read schematics
-Must have working knowledge and understanding of multi meter and oscilloscope
-Ability to work at heights, work from ladders and ability to carry ladder and/or tools to the work site from vehicle

Education:
Minimum of an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
